Today, I’m excited to share an incredible success story about two of my wonderful clients, Taiwo and Simi. Their journey into the world of franchising has been nothing short of inspiring, and I’m thrilled to have been a part of it.
Discovering the Perfect Fit
When Taiwo and Simi first came to me, they were eager to find a franchise that matched their lifestyle and aspirations. Simi shared, “When we were trying to go for the franchise that we felt would be a good fit, there wasn’t anything like a rush. No. We were given the autonomy to choose what we wanted. We had a lot of companies to choose from, to look into, and it was never rushed. We sat and we felt, okay, this is what fits into our lifestyle.”
It was crucial to me that they felt comfortable and confident in their choice. We explored numerous options together, ensuring they had all the information they needed to make the best decision.
It’s important for aspiring franchisees to remember that even if a franchise is popular or successful, it might not be the right fit for YOU. Consider your strengths and passions to ensure you’re motivated to help the business thrive!
The Journey Begins
Once we found the right franchise, OMEX – a commercial cleaning company, the real adventure started. Taiwo and Simi faced the typical challenges of transitioning from corporate jobs to becoming business owners.
Taiwo mentioned, “When you used to do 9-to-5, and now you feel like you want to take that huge step to be a business owner or your own CEO, that can be overwhelming and challenging. The importance of where Andrea came in was the fact that, okay, we could come up with challenges, and we could think of solutions together. That really played a huge role for us in making the best decision.”
Hearing this from Taiwo meant a lot to me. I strive to be there for my clients every step of the way, helping them navigate through uncertainties and find the right solutions. When I entered the franchising world, I didn’t have a mentor, so I know firsthand how scary and overwhelming it can be! That’s why I’m so committed to making sure none of my clients feel like they’re on this journey alone.
Training and Empowerment
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey was seeing Taiwo and Simi grow more confident with each passing day. The training they received was comprehensive and hands-on.
Taiwo shared, “The training was for 5 days, Monday to Friday. So we had different training modules going from the service itself to HR, to insurance, to legal, to the operations itself. We even had hands-on experience on how to use some of the equipment and how to train our staff with it. We were trained on every aspect of building and shaping our territory.”
This is another thing I absolutely love about franchising. You’re able to invest in a business, even with no prior experience, because of the extensive support the franchisor provides! Your success is their success, so you have an entire team rooting for you and helping you set up your business.
Endless Possibilities
Reflecting on their journey, Taiwo said something that truly touched me: “The possibilities that came out of that till today, I say, are still endless.” This is what it’s all about – opening up a world of opportunities and seeing my clients thrive.
Taiwo and Simi are now proud franchise owners and have been awarded the ENTIRE territory in Saskatchewan! Taiwo expressed, “The beautiful part of that is the fact that we are in charge of our whole territory right now. So we’re in charge of all of Saskatchewan as a province, which is also a beautiful thing because that is just like a land of opportunity opened onto us to dwell upon.”
Gratitude and Moving Forward
I am incredibly proud of Taiwo and Simi. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, and their story is a shining example of what can be achieved with the right support and guidance. When asked to summarize his time working with me, Simi said, “The service we got from Andrea was worth every dollar spent.“
Taiwo added, “If Andrea was not there, I’m pretty sure we would not be where we are today.” Hearing these words fills me with joy and motivation to continue helping others on their franchising journeys.
